This camera and monitor are very well made. The installation was very easy as you simply need a 12 volt power wire and a good ground to operate the camera and the same for the monitor. The picture quality is very, very good. The signal strength is great and in fact, I tested how far I could put the camera away from the monitor and still have a crisp, clear picture and the distance was more than 100 feet.
For the money you cannot beat this item. I have one on both of my vehicles and it works phenomenally. Knocked a star in easy install because the there is a large plastic cylinder on the cord that I’m sure serves some purpose but makes it hard to run through tight spaces.
Just installed this yesterday on my truck. Nice daytime and nighttime images. I replaced an older camera that failed. Since I already had my truck previously wired I connected this camera to my existing wiring. Easy easy connection but you have to be careful because video and power connections/wires are very thin. I highly recommend this camera...it's a great value and it does the job! The camera is wired into my Pioneer stereo used as a monitor. My camera came with all the wiring to connect your existing monitor... Highly recommended.
My older truck never had a back-up camera so I purchased this one for it. The camera was easy to install and the large screen is clear and the image sharp. Very pleased so far!
